I have nearly completed the hardtop and windshield installation. Installed the propane tanks on the pushpit, and installed the solar panels. I epoxied two pieced of 1/4 inch okoume plywood together to make the top and laminated 3 layers of 9 oz glass on top and primed and painted. I made the windshield frames with 1/4 inch thick by 1.5 inch wide 316 ss bar stock. I had a local welder weld them in place after making an elaborate jig to place the bar in while being welded. I predrilled all the bar stock prior to welding so I could screw on mahogany wood trim to dress out the frame. I will then screw 1/4 inch thick lexan on to the mahogany trim and then trim the outside with teak.

Really nice work, Pat. I have the NAB Rasmus which has a hard top. I fear there may be rot in its core though. I have too many other things to worry about and it's fine as is but this will be a big help to me if I tackle the project one way. Your boat is looking amazing.
That is beautiful Pat. I've been thinking about converting from canvas to hardtop. You really motivate me.

I am within a few days of finishing this hardtop project(just lack trimming the windows in teak on the exterior) and I will post some pictures of the final product. I already have some scratches on the polycarbonate windows but I didn't have much option here considering the design. After installing the windows the top does not move any, very solid.
